I’m Fred Estes, an educator, author, and advocate for student creativity and innovation. I’ve spent my career helping young people design real solutions to real problems—whether in the classroom, in community projects, or through national programs like Project Invent.

I’m the author of Design Thinking: A Guide to Innovation, a hands-on resource that helps students and educators use design thinking to invent with purpose, and Teen Innovators, which tells the true stories of teens who’ve made a difference through STEM.

Through writing, speaking, and teaching, I aim to empower students—and those who support them—to tackle meaningful challenges and spark change.
